1 day to kickoff of the 2023 Florida HS football season as the Navarre Raiders will host the Catholic Crusaders on 25 Aug 2023 at the comfy confines of Bennett C. Russell Stadium.

Hunter Pfeister threw for 309 yards and a touchdown, Eddie Love Jr rushed for 112 yards and two TDs and Terence Marshall hauled in six receptions for 111 yards and a score, but it was not enough as the Raiders season came to end, finishing up at 8-3.
Navarre’s defense just couldn’t stop the Creekside offensive onslaught. Sophomore QB Sean Ashenfelder completed 22 of 29 passes for 296 yards and a touchdown, he also rushed for 128 yards on 14 carries and three more scores. Nicholas Williams led the rushing attack with 236 yards on 25 carries and a TD, while Ashton Reynolds led the receiving corps with 95 yards on six receptions.
Dwayne Clark Jr paced the Raiders defense with a dozen tackles in his last game and Dante Core added ten. Landon Mentzler had the lone sack on the night.
First win in program history – Navarre 27, Freeport 6 (1998)
This was the only time that these two teams have met on the gridiron. Navarre registered their first win in school history after falling in their first two games. The Raiders went on to finish 4-5 in their first year of varsity action. They were outscored on the season, 303-197.
