Box Score

The Raiders (2-0) found themselves in one of the most exciting games in school history against Wakulla and future Florida Gator QB Feleipe Franks and future Florida State WR Keith Gavin. On a night where Navarre could not get the running game going (25 carries, -20 yards) and QB Matthew Webb was sacked 13 times, the Raiders found a way to fight back.

Webb threw for a school record 382 yards on 24-46 (passing attempts also a school record) and 4 TDs and two other Raiders threw for a TD as well (Caine Adamson and Octavien Moyer). Five different players caught a TD pass; Michael Carter (6 rec/165 yards/2 TDs); Quentin Randolph (6 rec/155 yards/TD); Cameron Mayweather, Derrick Smith and Dylan Main added the others.

Navarre would score late in the game, but would get an unsportsmanlike penalty for celebration. So, Luke Morton would have to kick a 35-yard extra point to send it to overtime.  The Raiders scored on their first possession of the extra period. Wakulla would score as well; but instead of going for the tie to send it to a second OT, the War Eagles went for two and the win. Navarre’s defense stepped up and stopped Franks at the one yard line to send the Raider faithful home with the sweet smell of victory.

Anthony “The Unit” Miller led the Navarre defense with 12 tackles and Tommy Leggett would pitch in 10.
