33 days to kickoff of the 2023 Florida HS football season as the Navarre Raiders will host the Catholic Crusaders on 25 Aug 2023 at the comfy confines of Bennett C. Russell Stadium.

This is the first time since the 2014 season that the Raiders lost back-to-back games. It was also the first time since 2013 where they failed to find the end zone.

Marlon Courtney III only completed 43.5% of his passes (10-23) for 144 yards.  Trent Hall led all receivers with 53 yards.

Navarre was led on defense by Jaden Rivera (12 tackles), Tyler England (12 tackles) and Bailey Houston (12 tackles, TFL).  Grady Kelly had two of the Raiders four sacks on the night and Preston Penton converted both of field goals, with a long from 38 yards.

Austin Grimm completed 6-10 passes for 104 yards and a touchdown, while Derek Nelson (116 yards, TD) and Tremain Barnes (103 yards/2 TDs) led the rushing attack. Barnes also had two receptions for 53 yards. Aaron Brummett had a perfect night in the kicking game (6/6 XPs, 1-1 FGs) for Navarre.
