The last time the Raiders played the Trojans was for the Region Title in 2010, a heartbreaking 34-33 triple overtime loss. This time Navarre battled and scraped, but unfortunately, they couldn’t overcome 334 yards and four touchdown passes from Christopher Beard and Perry Fisher. Clemson commit TE Sage Ennis had a big night as well with 4 receptions for 147 yards and two TDs.
Grady Kelly had quite a night for himself, as he set a school record with seven sacks. He also contributed a tackle for loss and 11 solo tackles. On one series, he had back-to-back-to-back sacks, the Trojans went from first and ten at the Raiders 29, to fourth and sixty-one at their own 29. This was one of the most dominating performances that I have seen on the defensive side of the ball since I started broadcasting.
Marlon Courtney III completed 13-21 for 228 yards and totaled two touchdowns (1 passing/1 rushing) and Jaydin Antonio added the other rushing TD. Tyler England contributed four receptions for 111 yards, while Xayvion Thomas hauled in a 38-yard receiving touchdown in the loss.

Austin Grimm went 11-20 for 189 and a TD while Derek Nelson added 126 yards on 18 carries and Dante’ Rome hauled in four receptions for 99 yards and a score. Navarre’s defense shut out their second straight opponent to start the season.
