41 days to kickoff of the 2023 Florida HS football season as the Navarre Raiders will host the Catholic Crusaders on 25 Aug 2023 at the comfy confines of Bennett C. Russell Stadium.

Marlon Courtney led the way on offense once again as he went 8-13 passing for 276 yards (34.5 yards per reception) and two touchdowns and rushed for another. Chris Williams and Dante Wright added rushing TDs and Wright hauled in four passes for 177 yards and two more scores.
 
Joshua Carter had another strong night on the defensive side of the ball with 11 tackles and a tackle for loss. Quinn Caballero added ten tackles and caused two fumbles. Jordan Jefferson got to the quarterback on three different occasions. Kevin Taich had a perfect night kicking as he went 5-5 on extra points and made his only field goal attempt from 33 yards.
 
41st win in school history – Navarre 51, West Florida 14 (2007)
 
The Raiders (2-0) went on the road and defeated the Jaguars in Week 2. WRs Chris Weaver and Kyle Irby were QB Austin Grimm’s primary targets in 2007. Kyle went on to play at Brevard College (NC) and Georgia State University (GA). Chris still holds the Navarre record for most receiving yards in a season (973), receptions in a season (67) and receptions in a game (13); all accomplished in 2007.
