The Raiders (9-2) had to take that long road trip to face off with the Yellowjackets again. Navarre did not fair as well this time as the St. Augustine big play offense struck over and over again. RB Dexter Brown had touchdown runs of 80, 80, 93 and 55, totaling 365 yards on 19 carries and current University of West Florida and D2 National Champion QB Austin Reed went 14-27 for 253 yards and three more touchdowns.
Raiders tried to fight back over and over again behind QB Sage Chambers, 17-25 for 272 yards and three touchdowns. Dante Wright hauled in four receptions for 157 yards and two touchdowns (61 & 83) and Quinn Caballero added eight receptions for 91 yards and a score. But it was just not enough on this night ending Navarre’s season.
Cade Taylor and James Segrest led the defense with seven tackles each and Michael Moffo and Bryson Brewer contributed six each. Kevin Taich went 3-3 on extra points.
