The Raiders (8-0, 2-0) won their eighth straight game to stay unbeaten and in the process put up the most points in a single game in Navarre history against the Stallions.
Michael Carter broke his older brother Dwayne’s single game rushing mark with 331 yards on 18 carries (18.4 per carry). He also tied the school record for rushing TDs in a game with six and broke the total TDs in game (7) with a 91-yard KO return for a score. Michael totaled 179 yards on four kickoff returns and amassed 510 all-purpose yards.
After giving up 26 points in the first half, the defense stiffened up and shut out American Heritage in the second half. Aaron Mitchell finished the night with 11 tackles (6 solo/5 assists/TFL) and Cade Taylor added 11 (4 solo/7 assists/TFL). Bo Hering contributed 10 (4 solo/6 assists/2 TFL) and Zach Gonzalez went 5-5 on extra points.
